Job description

The Engineering Manager for Serverless Networking Infrastructure at Google will lead a team of engineers focused on developing and optimizing serverless networking solutions. This role involves managing project goals, contributing to product strategy, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality infrastructure for applications. The team supports a wide range of services, including Cloud Run and App Engine, and aims to enhance connectivity and security for users. The manager will also work closely with cross-functional partners to address customer needs and drive technical initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development.
  • 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or networks.
  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience with software development, system design, and people management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the mid-term technical goals and roadmap within the scope of multiple teams.
  • Design, guide, and vet systems designs to solve ambiguous problems.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
  • Plan the roadmap for key network infrastructure initiatives.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to deliver cross-team projects and address customer issues.
