Job description
In this role at Apple, you will lead a team focused on taking Mac products from concept to mass production. You will leverage your engineering experience to manage full life cycle NPI programs and solve complex manufacturing challenges. The position requires a strong emphasis on innovation and the implementation of high volume manufacturing processes within a global supply chain. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team through ambiguous situations and setting clear objectives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of engineering work experience, including 5+ years as a direct people manager.
- Proven track record of developing scalable manufacturing processes for plastics and metals in the consumer electronics industry or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to design structured DOEs and use statistical/data analysis tools to make data driven decisions.
- Fluent in English, with Mandarin skills as a bonus.
- Experience in tool/fixture design, with automation experience being a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team responsible for the full life cycle of NPI programs for Mac products.
- Manage the innovation, selection, and implementation of high volume manufacturing processes.
- Solve complex problems related to manufacturing and production.
- Set clear objectives for the team and adapt to new information as needed.
- Travel frequently for work, both domestically to Austin and internationally to Asia.
