This role is part of the AWS Utility Computing organization, focusing on the design and optimization of hardware for data centers, particularly in machine learning inference products like AWS Inferentia. • BS + 6 years, MS + 4 years, or PhD + 2 years in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• 1+ years of experience in Static Timing Analysis
• 1+ years of experience with timing constraint development
• 1+ years of scripting experience with Tcl, Perl, or Python
• Expertise in timing analysis fundamentals
• Understanding of ASIC Physical Design from RTL-to-GDSII
• Experience in advanced nodes - 16nm or below
• Expertise in parasitic extraction tools like STAR-RC or Quantus
• Expertise on circuit level analysis using tools like SPICE or SPECTRE
• Experience with timing of IO interfaces like DDR, HBM, PCIe, Die-to-Die

• Develop and maintain flows for block and full-chip level static timing analysis.
• Write, debug, and validate timing constraints for blocks and full-chip.
• Run Static Timing Analysis and provide feedback to team members and leads.
• Guide the team on fixing timing issues and generating ECOs.
• Develop scripts to automate timing analysis and report generation.
• Collaborate effectively with other physical design engineers and RTL/Arch teams.
