Job description

This role involves working with a high-performance C++ software stack to enhance the performance, availability, and scalability of AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS). The team is composed of deep systems-level software experts focused on delivering low latency IO to customers. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams within AWS and contribute to the roadmap for future developments. The position promises immediate impact on millions of customers by improving their experience in the AWS Cloud.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design and solve for performance, availability, and scalability problems
  • Develop software on the latest platforms and drive the roadmap for the next generation
