Job description
The Mac System Power Delivery Architecture team is seeking a power systems architect to lead the design of innovative power delivery systems for Mac computer systems. This role involves providing architectural guidance and leadership to cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on power electronics and mixed-signal power ICs. The architect will leverage their expertise to enhance product performance, size, power, thermal, and cost objectives. This multidisciplinary position requires a strong understanding of various computer subsystem technologies.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Core competence in power electronics design and analysis for computing systems.
- Strong technical breadth across multiple computer or datacenter subsystem technologies.
- Solid understanding of mixed-signal silicon processes, design methodologies, and tools.
- Experience in mixed-signal silicon and/or PMIC design.
- Proficient in reading schematics and PCB layouts.
Responsibilities
- Drive innovative power architecture and technology concepts.
- Lead system-level partitioning and tradeoff analyses.
- Define mixed-signal power ICs from initial investigation to product-level implementation.
- Provide architectural guidance to establish new product definitions and requirements.
- Create, review, and approve engineering requirement specification documents.
- Summarize and communicate complex technical issues to stakeholders and leadership teams.
