JobsSoC Physical Design Verification Engineer
Job description
This role is part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on the design and manufacture of high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC). The position involves physical verification of SoCs, ensuring that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks. The team collaborates closely with various engineering teams throughout the chip design cycle to achieve successful tapeout. This highly visible role requires attention to detail and a commitment to crafting technology that enhances user experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with physical verification flows such as DRC, LVS, and full-chip integration methodology.
- Knowledge of ESD and macro placement design guidelines.
- Familiarity with digital and analog mixed signal back-end verification checks and methodology.
- Scripting skills in Perl, Python, or Tcl for debugging and automation.
- Experience with industry standard tools for physical verification such as Mentor Calibre and Synopsys ICV.
- Tapeout experience with a successful signoff track record.
- Layout design experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform various types of physical verification checks at the chip and block level.
- Collaborate with CAD and Technology teams for flow bring up and validation.
- Work directly with the implementation team during the entire chip design cycle.
- Lead schedules and support cross-functional engineering efforts.
- Work on padring, bump, RDL design, and collaborate with package and floorplan teams.
