Job description

As a Manufacturing Test Engineer at Google, you will develop and sustain manufacturing test processes for products deployed in Google Data Centers. You will work closely with New Product Introduction engineers and design engineers to ensure that manufacturing test processes are repeatable and controlled. Your role will involve designing test equipment and protocols to ensure the reliability of Google's custom-designed machines. This position focuses on driving continuous improvements in manufacturing processes and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering experience.
  • 5 years of experience in test engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and integrating manufacturing test hardware using custom electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation.
  • Experience coding in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting to generate product-specific test plans.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, optimize, and deploy server test platforms for Google compute/storage/ML servers.
  • Partner with the NPI team to define design for test requirements and provide input to Manufacturing Test Strategy.
  • Provide caliber manufacturing test engineering support for new and existing products.
  • Drive initiatives to improve test process efficiencies, improve test coverage, and reduce costs.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues and data center field escapes.
