The Senior Firmware Engineer will be part of the Firmware Center of Excellence, focusing on developing firmware for Azure Infrastructure. This role involves working on next-generation AI and compute silicon, emphasizing innovation in firmware technology. The team is dedicated to enhancing the security and performance of Microsoft's cloud infrastructure. Candidates should be passionate about cutting-edge technology and collaboration across various engineering disciplines.

• Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 1+ years of technical engineering experience, or a Master's Degree with 4+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

• Develop compute-intensive and highly performant test applications running on MAIA hardware systems.
• Design and develop workload profiling and analysis tools to benchmark runtimes of compute blocks and hardware accelerators.
• Develop end-to-end post-silicon tests and tools for functional and performance scenarios of the system.
• Collaborate across organizations with AI Frameworks software, Silicon & System Validation, Architecture, and Firmware.
