Job description
As a Senior SoC Product Architect in NVIDIA's SoC Product Architecture team, you will lead the external memory ecosystem across DRAM and non-volatile flash. Your role involves collaborating with major memory vendors to align roadmaps and innovate new technologies. You will ensure that NVIDIA's SoC portfolio achieves industry-leading performance metrics. This position requires a deep understanding of memory technologies and the ability to drive alignment across various functions.
Requirements
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 18+ years of experience in DRAM/memory subsystem architecture, SoC or memory controller design, or closely related roles.
- Deep understanding of modern DRAM technologies and non-volatile memories, including key tradeoffs.
- Proven experience working directly with memory vendors on product definition or co-development.
- Solid background in SoC and system memory subsystems, including memory controllers and signal integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to perform competitive analysis and draw architectural conclusions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with experience in vendor meetings.
- Ability to work across functions and regions, driving alignment without direct authority.
Responsibilities
- Partner with all major memory vendors to understand their technology and product roadmaps.
- Steer vendor roadmaps by articulating NVIDIA's performance, power, capacity, and reliability requirements.
- Innovate new DRAM solutions in collaboration with vendors to meet future SoC requirements.
- Work closely with SoC architects and memory controller designers to co-optimize memory subsystem architecture.
- Represent NVIDIA at vendor technical reviews and key technical meetings.
- Collaborate with sourcing, operations, and quality teams to factor supply and reliability considerations into memory technology choices.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
