Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Engineer to lead the bring-up of innovative System on Chips (SOCs) through collaboration with external vendors and internal teams. The role focuses on ensuring robust test yields and driving silicon characterization plans. The engineer will serve as the primary technical interface for test strategy and silicon qualification, working to achieve target yields and reliability qualifications. This position is integral to the development of cutting-edge technology solutions in the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in product development engineering
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in ATE test failures
  • Hands-on experience debugging chip-level failures on ATE platforms
  • Good understanding of SOC/Silicon qualifications and exposure to various testing methods

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical interface between ATE and internal partners for test strategy and silicon qualification.
  • Define and drive PDE Silicon characterization plans covering key tests and features.
  • Ensure robust test yields are achieved from NPI to high volume manufacturing.
  • Finalize overall reliability qualification stress conditions based on product usage.
  • Drive all aspects of stress testing of silicon from wafer-level to package-level.
  • Evaluate and support Burn-in needs for the product in NPI and MP phases.
  • Analyze and automate aging data from various testing and guide the team on further debug steps.
  • Drive true failures from reliability evaluation to closure with final failure analysis reports.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
