Job description
The Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix will focus on designing metrics and generating insights to evaluate advertising effectiveness. This role is part of the Ads Measurement team, which aims to provide transparent and privacy-compliant advertising results. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various partners, utilizing data to inform product decisions and drive innovation in analytics engineering. They will also be responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Expertise in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python.
- Familiarity with data modeling, ETL frameworks, and analytics tools.
- Strong communication skills to build meaningful stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations with minimal oversight.
- Prior experience in ad tech, streaming, or technology product companies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop reporting for internal measurement products and external measurement integrations.
- Analyze and interpret data to provide recommendations for the effectiveness of advertiser measurement.
- Spearhead the creation of metrics that provide insight for decision-making.
- Identify opportunities and create solutions to automate and scale ad hoc requests.
- Develop high-impact visualizations and analyses to build visibility into the health of the ad platform.
- Proactively identify gaps and opportunities for innovation in analytics engineering.
- Experiment with and evaluate new technologies, including Generative AI solutions.
