Job description

This role involves developing and maintaining proprietary databases and reports while analyzing loan information for various financial transactions. The position requires collaboration with senior investment banking officers and financial quants in a dynamic environment. The focus is on improving existing code and working with mathematical modeling and algorithmic development. Candidates will also manage information related to financial assets and provide analysis for corporate advisory projects.

Requirements

  • Strong Excel, VBA, and Database SQL skills are required.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other related technical majors is required.
  • Recent graduates from a financial engineering school or 1-3 years of comparable experience in a financial institution are preferred.
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure, dynamic investment banking environment is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain proprietary databases, reports, and monitors.
  • Analyze and improve existing code to enhance performance and value.
  • Work with mathematical modeling and algorithmic development.
  • Analyze loan information for securitization deals, whole loan transactions, and warehouse facilities.
  • Manage information for a variety of financial assets and provide analysis and reporting for warehouse financing, securitizations, and corporate advisory projects.
  • Collaborate with senior investment banking officers, senior financial quants, portfolio managers, and back-office operation teams.
