The Principal Full Stack Engineer will join the Quantitative Research and Investments Technology team at Fidelity Asset Management Technology. This role focuses on designing, building, enhancing, and supporting a Systematic Alternatives portfolio construction and management system. The engineer will work closely with quantitative researchers, software engineers, and quantitative developers. The position emphasizes hands-on development and collaboration to deliver effective solutions for the Quant Research team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a computational field such as Computer Science, with a Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven professional experience in financial services, preferably in Asset Management.
- Strong experience in system architecture, design patterns, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with Python or Java and micro-services / RESTful APIs.
- Experience working with SQL databases such as Oracle or Snowflake.
- Experience in AWS cloud environments and knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps.
- Experience integrating financial data with Angular UI.
- Exposure to test automation frameworks for unit and integration testing.
- Demonstrated experience with portfolio construction and management is a plus.
- Nice to have experience with derivatives and financial instruments.
Responsibilities
- Partner with quant research and investments teams to design and build a comprehensive portfolio construction and management system.
- Collaborate with a team of quantitative researchers, software engineers, and quantitative developers.
- Capture requirements and formulate plans by engaging with various stakeholders.
- Provide hands-on development and support for the Systematic Alternatives system.
- Influence decisions and build relationships across Fidelity and at all organizational levels.
