NVIDIA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Cloud Engineering & Services team to develop a robust core platform for agentic systems. The role focuses on building and maturing the Agent Policy Fabric (APF) Core Platform, which includes signed policy, runtime verification, and credential mediation. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure the integration of public runtime interfaces and drive architectural maturity. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 15+ years in systems software, security engineering, distributed systems, or policy infrastructure.
• Strong programming skills in Rust, Go, C++, or Python.
• Experience designing production services, APIs, schemas, policy engines, or authorization systems.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, IPC or service-to-service APIs, and cloud deployment environments.
• Practical experience with authorization, cryptographic signatures, and zero-trust architecture patterns.

• Own APF Core Services by building and hardening the Runtime Policy Verifier and authorization APIs.
• Design and implement deterministic projections from the canonical APF policy into runtime policy.
• Create compatibility tests and conformance suites to ensure APF-compatible runtimes honor the same contract.
• Collaborate with Runtime Owners to engage on public runtime interfaces and integration surfaces.
• Drive architecture maturity by defining versioning, schema compatibility, and fail-closed defaults.
