The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team is seeking a cleared Systems Development Engineer to leverage cloud computing technologies for U.S. Government agencies. This role involves building and operating critical services like Amazon Simple Queue and Notification Services, Kinesis Data Streams, and AWS Managed Flink and Kafka. The engineer will focus on troubleshooting complex system operations and developing new features to enhance customer missions. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

• Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
• Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
• Experience with distributed systems at scale
• Experience with Linux/Unix

• Support AWS Storage and Data services engineering and operations by managing and monitoring systems health and status.
• Provision devices, assist with data ingestion, and perform device cleaning.
• Troubleshoot device, network, and configuration-related issues.
• Identify, document, and communicate engineering and operations recommendations to team members.
• Write and disseminate after-action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans.
• Provide on-call support when necessary.
