Job description

The Camera Hardware Engineering group at Apple is seeking an enthusiastic individual to tackle challenges in camera hardware design and development. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to evaluate performance specifications and translate complex system architectures into electrical and IC requirements. The focus is on delivering innovative camera technologies that enhance user experience across Apple products. Candidates should have a strong background in electrical or computer engineering and relevant industry experience.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience validating electro-optical, electro-mechanical, or mixed signal systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for scripting, lab automation, silicon validation, or data analysis.
  • Experience with low-level programming and debugging for embedded development in C/C++.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product/test, and camera systems engineers.
  • Evaluate performance specifications for camera hardware.
  • Translate complex system architectures into electrical and IC requirements.
  • Lead the validation of relevant subsystems, defining requirements and plans.
  • Drive projects to completion by demonstrating required skill sets.
