The Sr. Application Security Engineer at AWS Security will focus on ensuring that services, applications, and websites meet high security standards. This role involves analyzing application security, addressing security issues, and building security automation. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in application security frameworks, security code reviews, incident response, and secure software development.
- 2+ years of experience in web application development, penetration testing, mobile security, or related domains.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in networking fundamentals, security, databases, and operating systems.
- Knowledge of network and web-related protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP.
Responsibilities
- Conduct application security reviews including architecture reviews, threat modeling, and security testing.
- Engage in project and research work as needed.
- Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams.
- Create security guidance documentation.
- Automate security workflows and deliver security metrics.
- Assist with recruiting activities.
