The Systems Engineer role within Amazon Robotics' Technology Deployment team focuses on deploying advanced industrial automation and robotics technologies across North America. This position involves overseeing project planning, installation, and launch of robotic systems while collaborating with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing complex electro-mechanical systems. This role requires extensive travel, with expectations of being on-site for project execution and integration.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models.
• 1+ years of experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations.
• Practical understanding of network fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
• Proven experience working on hardware integration or complex mechanical-electrical or networked industrial equipment.

• Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging, and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.
• Develop detailed knowledge of the operation of robotic systems and guide installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of these systems.
• Manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program managers, product managers, and internal customers.
• Travel to project sites and ensure all business stakeholders are aligned on program status.
• Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management.
• Work on continuous improvement activities to enhance project outcomes.
• Lead teams of other engineers on projects.
