Job description

This role is part of the Silicon Engineering team at Apple, focusing on the development and manufacturing of next-generation graphics processors. The position involves ensuring that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks, contributing to the design and building of workloads for GPU validation. You will collaborate with various teams globally to maintain high quality and efficiency standards for Apple GPUs. This impactful role requires a strong foundation in graphics workloads and architectural validation.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree in a relevant field with 0 years of experience
  • Excellent C/C++ programming skills
  • Experience with GPU APIs like Metal, OpenGL, DirectX, Vulkan, or CUDA
  • Knowledge of key graphics rendering algorithms
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the software graphics pipeline and its application to computer graphics or machine learning
  • Knowledge of hardware architecture and/or graphics hardware

Responsibilities

  • Develop critical workloads for GPU validation including architecture, functionality, performance, and power.
  • Work with GPU hardware teams from design bring-up through post-silicon to identify and debug architectural, logic, and silicon issues.
  • Collaborate with GPU software teams during production driver bring-up to rapidly identify and resolve software issues.
  • Create bit-accurate C/C++ models for hardware verification.
