Job description
This role focuses on setting up traction inverter end-of-line tests and addressing electrical issues related to production inverters. The position requires collaboration with various teams, including manufacturing and service, to debug issues across different locations. Candidates should have a strong foundation in electrical engineering and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Frequent domestic and international travel is required for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets is necessary.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment are required.
- Hands-on experience in a high-voltage laboratory environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in the automotive, aerospace, or related industry focused on high-power electronics is a significant plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team to design, develop, and validate traction inverters for Rivian vehicles.
- Lead end-to-end testing, characterization, and performance analysis of power electronics circuits.
- Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues from production.
- Provide hands-on engineering support for manufacturing and production line testing.
- Act as a key technical resource during validation and characterization activities at various locations.
