Job description
The Mechanical Design Engineer will work within the Mechanical Department of KLA's ECI division in Totowa, NJ. This role focuses on the design process of mechanical components for new systems, utilizing CAD systems for both conceptual and detailed design. The engineer will lead projects for new analyzer and dosing system variants, ensuring designs are manufacturable and serviceable. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to resolve integration issues and support production readiness.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing electromechanical products from concept through production.
- Advanced 3D CAD proficiency, including SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Experience designing fluid-handling systems and managing BOM integrity.
- Strong requirements management skills with experience in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects for new analyzer and dosing system variants, owning mechanical scope from requirements through release.
- Develop and review 3D CAD models, ensuring designs are manufacturable and serviceable.
- Own and review flow diagrams derived from customer requirements and engineering specifications.
- Lead design and integration of complex assemblies, defining robust mechanical interfaces.
- Generate and approve complete documentation packages for release, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
