Job description

The Critical Environment Electrical Engineer at Microsoft plays a vital role in delivering core infrastructure and foundational technologies for various online services. Requirements

  • High School Qualification or equivalent AND 2+ years experience supporting IT equipment or related technology or delivering server and network deployment projects in large-scale environments OR equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field AND 1+ year(s) of technical engineering experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop basic knowledge of industry trends and consult with other engineers to apply advanced concepts.
  • Assist in creating and executing designs and verification plans for electrical engineering aspects of products.
  • Participate in creating intellectual property and may file patents within personal area of scope.
  • Implement known solutions to common technical challenges with guidance from other engineers.
  • Ensure that test requirements are included in documentation for a feature or product.
  • Write design verification test cases using standard templates and methodologies.
  • Assist in developing automated testing solutions and conduct automated testing on standard features.
  • Follow project implementation schedules and escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Document essential details about materials and components for a device via accepted release processes.
