Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Strong technical background in CPU architecture and performance modeling
- Proven experience in modeling modern CPU core performance features
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
- Strong communication skills, capable of summarizing complex problems
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and model high-performance CPU core features using a CPU core performance simulator.
- Correlate performance features across performance simulators and actual CPU designs in pre-silicon and post-silicon settings.
- Innovate technical ideas related to CPU architecture through performance modeling techniques.
- Conduct workload and trace analysis for the ideation and development of CPU core performance features.
- Perform feasibility analysis on new performance features through high-level modeling.
- Develop cycle-accurate core microarchitecture CPU core performance simulators.
- Lead the team to meet schedule commitments and support customers related to performance modeling.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams across RTL, verification, emulation, and silicon.
