Job description
This position involves balancing business priorities with technology strategy by translating architecture principles into secure and scalable designs. The role focuses on developing end-to-end solutions that enhance health benefits and member experience while ensuring compliance with regulatory and privacy standards. The candidate will work within Agile frameworks to drive delivery through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and will be responsible for mentoring junior team members. Collaboration with IT teams and business units is essential to resolve project and technology issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer developing financial services applications.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer developing financial services applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing Java RESTful services and multi-threaded applications using Agile methodologies.
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins and Maven, and configuration management using Git Stash.
- Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) practices using unit testing frameworks like JUnit.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate seamless access to healthcare benefits and accurate premium deductions within payroll systems.
- Deliver timely and accurate outbound data files and reports to carriers and vendors supporting healthcare benefits administration.
- Participate in architecture design teams and define application-level architecture.
- Develop applications on complex projects and components for the division.
- Recommend development testing tools and methodologies, and review and validate test plans.
- Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables and develop comprehensive documentation for applications.
- Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Advise on risk assessment and management strategies for projects.
- Plan and coordinate complex project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project and technology issues.
