Job description

This position provides technology and functional leadership in developing compliance monitoring solutions for the Security Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations. The role focuses on overseeing junior developers and managing Agile teams to deliver complex data solutions for the Investment Compliance Engine (ICE). The candidate will leverage their expertise to identify gaps in current operations and propose enhancements. Additionally, the role involves researching new technologies to support the strategic direction of the business unit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and six years of experience as a Director, Data Engineering.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in the same fields and four years of experience as a Director, Data Engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing scalable investment compliance monitoring systems using Oracle, Informatica, and Kafka.
  • Experience in building system architecture designs and developing solutions for application data storage using Oracle technologies.
  • Proficiency in provisioning Cloud infrastructure components using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

  • Translate and incorporate business vision and strategy into architectural strategy.
  • Participate in business and technology fusion sessions with product teams on new requirements.
  • Identify potential gaps in current operation models and design component enhancements.
  • Serve as a technical lead on core engine module enhancements for initiatives.
  • Set best engineering practices in database code development and Agile processes.
  • Consult on the development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.
  • Provide leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams on complex projects.
  • Research and recommend new technologies to support business unit strategies.
