Job description
This position involves developing database solutions and aligning IT services with business needs using an ITIL framework. The role focuses on monitoring cloud computing and distributed applications while providing operational services for cloud migrations to AWS. The candidate will also resolve incidents, support critical applications, and drive incident management processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in both technical expertise and crisis management for major system outages.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Systems Engineer.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in the same fields and three years of experience as a Principal Systems Engineer.
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining data quality and resolving complex data anomalies.
- Experience with AWS services such as Elastic Kubernetes Services (EKS) and Elastic Cloud Compute (EC2).
- Proficiency in automating operations using Jenkins CI/CD pipeline and other tools.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain all business-facing applications and data processing.
- Provide technical expertise and assist in crisis management for major system outages.
- Facilitate swift investment decisions for business professionals.
- Design effective instrumentation and telemetry to notify stakeholders of issues.
- Consult with application support and development groups on application problems.
- Define and recommend process improvement initiatives.
- Drive incident management and resolutions while identifying root causes.
- Create and document disaster recovery procedures.
- Coordinate systems installation and configuration changes.
- Develop tools to automate the collection and analysis of operational data.
