This role is focused on building the backbone of Generative AI cloud at AWS, specifically for AI training and inference. The AWS Hardware Engineering team is responsible for creating innovative server designs that ensure high performance and scalability for AI/ML and HPC workloads. The ideal candidate will be an innovative self-starter with a deep understanding of the technical stack, from hardware to software. You will have a direct impact on AI-powered innovation and work collaboratively with engineers across the company.

• 4+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
• Experience with x86 architecture, ARM, and GPU/FPGA devices.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree, or relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software development, systems development, SRE, or Resilience Engineering.
• 7+ years of server systems debugging experience.
• Extensive Linux knowledge.

• Decompose difficult server system problems into straightforward tasks.
• Create automation through agentic workflows and develop smart automation solutions.
