The Apple Services Engineering team is seeking a dynamic Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to help build and run the foundation of critical cloud services used by millions. This role involves partnering with engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient solutions while maintaining high standards of service availability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a flexible, cross-functional environment and will be responsible for driving projects across various areas of Apple Cloud Infrastructure. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
- 12+ years in technical program management, with significant experience in infrastructure or platform development.
- Deep understanding of and experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software development lifecycles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), workflow systems, or distributed data platforms.
- Experience building developer platforms or infrastructure-as-a-service products.
- Proven ability to drive complex, multi-team technical programs from ambiguity to delivery.
- Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage with product and engineering on architecture decisions and tradeoffs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple projects across various locations.
- Drive projects for various areas of Apple Cloud Infrastructure.
- Build, maintain, and improve Apple’s critical cloud services.
- Define standards and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Engage with product and engineering teams on architecture decisions.
- Translate technical complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences.
