Job description

The Associate Test Engineer position at KLA involves working on the testing of new technologies in a collaborative environment. The role focuses on systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair. Candidates will engage with moderately complex assignments that require judgment and problem-solving skills. This position offers an opportunity to work with industry-leading technology while contributing to the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem.

Requirements

  • You have hands-on experience in systems electro-mechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment is required.
  • You hold a Technical Certificate, or AS degree, or military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
  • A BSME, BSEET or similar degree in an engineering discipline is strongly preferred.
  • You demonstrate excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies at system level.
  • Determine and may develop methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Maintain tool schedules and complete alignment processes per defined test times.
