Job description

In this role, you will define next-generation architecture for Apple Vision products, focusing on display technologies and optics. You will work on a wide range of topics including prototyping, hardware and silicon definition, and software development. The position requires collaboration with internal teams and vendors to promote innovation and improve display performance. Your expertise will help analyze trade-offs between performance, manufacturability, and cost.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in display backplane design, display pipeline, image processing, and display architecture.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.
  • Hands-on experimental ability with prototyping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Define architecture for new display technologies based on system requirements and human perception.
  • Analyze and compare display and optics technologies.
  • Define detailed specifications for display panels, driving ASICs, and software algorithms.
  • Promote innovation to enhance Apple's display performance and user experience.
  • Conduct theoretical analysis and system characterization.
