Job description

The Application Development Engineer at KLA will focus on customer support and product demonstration for complex semiconductor manufacturing products. This role is part of the Broadband Plasma Division, which provides advanced optical inspection systems for integrated circuit manufacturing. The engineer will work closely with customers to address yield issues and provide inspection solutions while also training customers and documenting results. The position requires a high level of autonomy and accountability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Candidate must have a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidate must be a strong team player.
  • Over 70% travel will be required.
  • Master's Level Degree with 0 years related work experience or Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide product value demonstration during beta testing and tools in the ramp phase.
  • Investigate semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and provide inspection solutions.
  • Conduct customer product demonstrations and technical training.
  • Document all test results and lessons learned in training documents and reports.
  • Interact with customers to educate and coordinate activities.
