Job description

The System Development Engineer role at Amazon Robotics focuses on the integration of Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology with robotics product development. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain PLM systems that support product design and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Siemens Teamcenter PLM and experience with CAD software integrations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering, PLM administration, or enterprise application development
  • Experience with Siemens Teamcenter PLM platform, including configuration and workflows
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale
  • Familiarity with data migration strategies and tools for PLM systems

Responsibilities

  • Configure, customize, maintain, and troubleshoot Teamcenter PLM application parameters and workflows
  • Translate business requirements into structured, process-aligned solution designs leveraging Teamcenter PLM capabilities
  • Implement and maintain integrations between Teamcenter and third-party software including CAD tools and ERP systems
  • Support Teamcenter enterprise system data migrations, data integrity validation, and change management activities
  • Maintain and optimize existing AWS infrastructure hosting Teamcenter
  • Optimize backup and disaster recovery systems and processes for PLM environments
  • Contribute to architectural discussions on design options and integration patterns
  • Present technical information clearly to stakeholders and participate in knowledge sharing across the team
