This role involves building high-quality, end-to-end software solutions using Java EE and participating in process-improvement initiatives to enhance team velocity. The position requires designing software capabilities for data analysis and creating User Interface components for web applications. The candidate will work within an Agile Software Development Lifecycle, utilizing SCRUM activities to implement process improvements. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field and five years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Alternatively, a Master's degree in a related field and three years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving software design and delivery through the full SDLC using Agile methodologies.
- Experience designing and developing Java and Spring Boot-based microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines with Jenkins.
Responsibilities
- Participate in architecture design teams.
- Define and implement application-level architecture.
- Develop applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
- Recommend development testing tools and methodologies and review and validate test plans.
- Ensure QA readiness of software deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
- Establish full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
- Meet project goals on time and on budget.
- Advise on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
- Plan and coordinate project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
- Act as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project and technology issues.
- Provide technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
- Mentor junior team members.
- Perform independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects.
