JobsSilicon Debug Engineer
Job description
The Silicon Debug Engineer role focuses on investigating and root-causing failures in advanced custom digital megacells used in high-performance, low-power SoCs. The engineer will bridge the gap between electrical debug and physical failure analysis, collaborating with various teams to ensure functional products reach millions of customers quickly. This position requires a deep understanding of silicon failures and the application of cutting-edge failure analysis techniques. The engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and reliability of state-of-the-art ASICs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in SRAM circuits, custom circuit design, or silicon debug.
- Deep understanding of deep-submicron device physics and leakage mechanisms.
- Solid understanding of device matching and noise sources impacting high-precision circuits.
- Familiarity with electrical failure analysis techniques and workflows.
- Knowledge of Dynamic Lock-in Thermography and its application in defect localization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and root-cause failures in advanced custom digital megacells.
- Apply deep engineering fundamentals and failure analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with circuit design, process engineering, and failure analysis teams.
- Conduct structured experiments during silicon debug and analyze large datasets.
- Plan failure analysis strategies based on electrical debug data.
- Interpret failure analysis results in the context of circuit topology and signatures.
Benefits
