The role involves working with the global controls team at AWS, focusing on the maintenance and improvement of building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems (EPMS) within data centers. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure operational excellence and safety standards. The position requires troubleshooting, project management, and the development of new processes in the controls space. You will also engage in procurement activities and provide technical support during the data center lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience in data centers or comparable critical infrastructure.
- Experience with power management and power monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of critical data center equipment and engineering documentation.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction specifications and drawings.
Responsibilities
- Train and assist internal customers with the design and operation of BMS and EPMS systems.
- Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the data center lifecycle.
- Develop project scope of work, schedule, budget, and level of efforts for BMS and EPMS projects.
- Manage the execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects in AWS data centers.
- Participate in the AWS global on-call schedule to provide technical support.
