Job description

The quality assurance engineer internship at Amazon is a full-time position where interns will work in an office environment, focusing on developing software testing strategies and troubleshooting products. Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Interns must commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks.
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an academic program located in the United States.
  • Experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl is required.
  • Experience with software-testing techniques and the software testing life cycle is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience with at least one modern programming language including Java, Python, C++, or C#.
  • Experience with technologies such as Selenium, Junit, and TestNG is preferred.
  • Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline with an expected graduation date between October 2026 and December 2029.

Responsibilities

  • Create, execute, and maintain software test plans and automation for product components and features.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and modify test cases to accommodate feature releases.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and isolate bugs to assist developers in identifying root causes.
  • Analyze change requests and provide recommendations on their impact on test scope and product behavior.
  • Design and plan test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure adequate coverage.
