The Apple Knowledge Quality Team is seeking extraordinary Machine Learning engineers to develop next-generation machine learning solutions for Knowledge Q&A, enhancing features like Siri and Spotlight. This role involves working with large-scale data management and machine learning systems to redefine how users search and find information. Engineers will build state-of-the-art Gen AI components at scale, focusing on knowledge extraction from semi-structured and unstructured data. The team aims to impact hundreds of millions of users by improving their experience with technology.
Requirements
- Excellent programming skills in mainstream programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Go.
- Prior experience with Machine Learning Frameworks such as PyTorch and Tensorflow.
- Working experience with NLP and Large Language Models.
- Experience working with large data sets and pipelines, ideally using the Apache software stack.
- PhD or Graduate degree with research/work experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science or related field.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop features for a platform that manages large-scale data and machine learning systems.
- Build state-of-the-art Gen AI components to enhance question answering capabilities for Siri.
- Collaborate with a team of experts to push the boundaries of Knowledge Question Answering.
