Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a talented individual to join their team focused on advancing world foundation models for AI systems. This role operates at the applied-research boundary, emphasizing the development and validation of model improvements for high-fidelity video generation. The team collaborates closely with data, platform, and product engineering to ensure that research translates into real performance and quality. The main focus is on human appearance, motion, and action understanding, with a commitment to disciplined experimentation and robust diagnostics.

Requirements

  • PhD in Computer Science, Graphics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of applied research and/or industry experience in vision, graphics, or adjacent ML domains.
  • 3+ years of direct experience designing, training, and evaluating generative models for image/video/audio.
  • Hands-on experience improving generative models with a focus on perceptual quality and temporal stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, PyTorch, C++, and CUDA.
  • Experience training and debugging large models in multi-GPU and/or multi-node environments.
  • Practical knowledge of inference/runtime bottlenecks and optimization techniques.
  • Strong interest in diagnosing visual artifacts using perceptual metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Research, implement, and validate model architecture and algorithm changes that improve video generation fidelity.
  • Explore and prototype improvements across spatial multimodal modeling and video generation techniques.
  • Improve training and inference efficiency through architectural and post-training techniques.
  • Define model training objectives that enhance sim-to-real and real-to-sim generalization.
  • Develop detailed benchmarks for evaluating world foundation models.
  • Translate research results into robust implementations like training code and production-grade checkpoints.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
