Job description

The Amazon Prime Air Team is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to drive innovation in delivering items to customers quickly and safely. This role involves working with a team of skilled developers and collaborating with research teams to solve complex delivery challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded system development and a passion for solving hard problems. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on cutting-edge technologies.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and test critical features for embedded applications and platforms that power the Prime Air Drone.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement fixes for complex functional and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with our hardware teams and vendors to enable new computing hardware and functionality.
