Job description

The Business Intelligence Engineer will join the BI Engineering, Analytics, & Data Science team at Amazon Robotics, focusing on supporting Robotic Storage Tech programs. This role involves leveraging statistical analysis to evaluate new robotic products from concept to deployment. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to translate product performance questions into structured analyses and deliver actionable insights. The position emphasizes the design and maintenance of dashboards and reporting solutions to track product readiness and system maturity.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience in Python.
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Execute foundational statistical methods to evaluate new containerized and workcell system performance.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Program Managers, and engineering teams to support milestone decisions.
  • Identify and onboard data sources from new systems and define relevant metrics.
  • Author recommendation-focused whitepapers and deep-dive analyses for product development decisions.
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions for product tracking.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of data lineage across BI solutions.
  • Create and optimize scripts to streamline BI processes and select appropriate analytics tools.
