The role is part of Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team, focusing on building and maintaining an internal analytics and reporting platform using Microsoft Fabric. The Insights and Analytics team aims to provide instant insights to leadership and product teams while acting as the first customer for new products. Requirements
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields AND 4+ years experience in the relevant areas OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Create executive-ready reports, dashboards, web apps, and presentations using Power BI.
- Implement semantic models and AI-based solutions to enhance decision-making speed and efficiency.
- Convert business needs into technical requirements and guide decisions through high-impact analytics.
- Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to influence data ingestion, transformation, and consumption.
- Apply advanced techniques such as DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling to deliver scalable insights.
- Perform data exploration using analytical tools and query languages like SQL and KQL.
