The Vice President of Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Dallas, Texas, is responsible for developing and maintaining the firm's software solutions to support global businesses. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field and five years of experience in a software engineering role, or a Master's degree and three years of experience.
- Experience with C++ or Java and database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
- Two years of experience building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented enterprise applications within a Unix environment.
- Two years of experience with micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Spring, or other back-end technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, support, and maintain the firm's software solutions.
- Design and implement high-quality, scalable technology solutions.
- Own requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment.
- Work with internal teams to develop solution designs.
- Identify new external technologies to transform financial businesses and internal platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust testing suites for scalable solutions.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members.
