The Vice President of Quantitative Engineering at Goldman Sachs will focus on analyzing user needs and addressing data and model issues. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field and three years of experience in a quantitative or software engineering role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field and five years of experience in a quantitative or software engineering role.
- Experience with C++, Java, or Python.
- Experience in quantitative analysis and model development using advanced econometric, statistical, and mathematical techniques.
- Experience in developing data management and analysis tools for risk oversight.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze user needs from a scenario design perspective.
- Design and implement high-quality, scalable technology solutions using internal and open-source services.
- Own the requirements gathering, user story refinement, development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and deployment processes.
- Analyze large structured and unstructured data sets to build predictive models of market variables.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation of the risk-model performance testing approach.
