Arcadis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join their Climate Adaptation and Water Management Team in Virginia Beach or Richmond, Virginia. The role focuses on delivering engineering and consulting services for projects related to flood risk reduction and infrastructure resilience. The engineer will conduct structural analysis and design, ensuring compliance with regulatory specifications. This position also involves mentoring junior staff and collaborating with various engineering disciplines throughout project life cycles.

• 8 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Experience in designing flood walls, flood gates, and retaining wall structures.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Revit.

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and engineering during construction services for climate adaptation projects.
• Research feasibility of alternative design approaches and site conditions.
• Develop calculations, plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Manage budgets and schedules as Design Lead, Task Manager, or Project Engineer.
• Mentor entry-level and junior structural engineering staff.
