Microsoft is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the Specialized Clouds Teams Phone team, focusing on the development and operation of Teams Phone services in secure environments. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to deliver resilient distributed systems and maintain feature parity with public cloud offerings. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering excellence through mentorship, coding best practices, quality standards, and proactive risk management.
- Drive architecture and design strategy for complex systems, ensuring scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient solutions.
- Manage end-to-end delivery planning and execution for complex services, ensuring security, compliance, resiliency, scalability, and operational readiness.
- Investigate pre-production and production issues, implementing and deploying necessary fixes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation within a secure facility.
