Job description

Amazon is seeking a Senior Operations Engineer to support the Process Engineering team, focusing on the next generation of AMZL delivery stations. This role involves managing a product roadmap and driving end-to-end product delivery from inception to execution. The successful candidate will work with various organizations to innovate and develop impactful solutions. Requirements

  • 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
  • 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
  • 3+ years of leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and field execution through launch readiness and go-live phases experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
  • Master's degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Business Administration, or Master's degree or above in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics)
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
  • Experience building launch readiness frameworks, standard work, playbooks, and scalable deployment mechanisms across multiple concurrent sites
  • Experience with performance metrics such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, throughput, or quality
  • Experience in Amazon RME (Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering), fulfillment operations, or automation deployment environments
  • Experience working under pressure in a cross-functional organization

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the product features and enhancements for the next generation of AMZL Delivery Stations.
  • Work closely with partner teams in Engineering, Tech and Operations to build impactful products.
  • Identify new programs to onboard and integrate.
  • Lead execution of the product with high-level of discipline and engagement with the product development teams.
  • Present concepts, designs, program updates and roadmap to senior leadership on a frequent basis using strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hold partner teams accountable for delivery of project roadmap.
  • Own a part of the vision of the next generation DS roadmap, including execution.
  • Drive a culture of innovation across the AMZL Process Engineering Organization.
  • Travel 25% based on business needs.
