Job description
The Senior Full Stack Lead Developer at Citi is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for driving engineering excellence within the Banking technology division. This role focuses on delivering robust, scalable, and secure middleware platforms while applying modern software engineering practices. The position requires exceptional technical mastery and strategic problem-solving abilities, as well as the capacity to guide and influence project outcomes across the organization. The ideal candidate will mentor other engineers and champion operational excellence through DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in backend software development.
- Deep, hands-on expertise in enterprise-level middleware technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices, GraphQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrated ability to architect, design, and implement highly scalable, resilient, secure, and performant distributed systems.
- Expert-level understanding of the modern Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to and uphold the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for core platforms.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior and junior software engineers.
- Apply and champion DevSecOps and Site Reliability Engineering principles in daily work.
- Act as a primary technical advisor to senior business leaders and product owners.
- Drive the exploration and application of emerging technologies and advanced architectural patterns.
