Job description

The Senior Software Development Engineer will play a crucial role in building a secure and scalable authentication and authorization platform for AWS. This position involves transforming complex problems into maintainable solutions while ensuring high performance and security. The team, AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), is responsible for systems that manage access across AWS services, processing billions of requests daily. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and will lead technical initiatives while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
  • 7+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
