Job description

The Channel Store Product Design Engineer will be part of an emerging engineering team focused on designing store fixtures that enhance the customer experience in partner stores. This role involves balancing aesthetics, safety, sustainability, and functionality to effectively showcase Apple products. The engineer will work closely with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure design goals are met while fostering a collaborative environment. Requirements

  • B.S. degree in mechanical engineering and 7 years of relevant experience
  • Strong mechanical intuition and understanding of solid mechanics and material properties
  • Working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD software
  • Familiarity with metal manufacturing methodologies
  • Experience with FEA, DFMEA, and root cause analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of program design goals including installation and maintenance requirements
  • Guide vendors through the design of a variety of store fixtures
  • Create solutions that effectively merchandise and showcase Apple products
  • Enable essential in-store functionality for store employees
