Job description
NVIDIA is looking for a Principal DRAM Architect to lead the architecture and implementation of next-generation AI and graphics memory solutions. This position is part of the Memory Architecture team, focusing on optimizing DRAM, GPU, and system architectures for enhanced performance and efficiency. The role involves collaboration with DRAM vendors and contributions to global memory standards. Candidates should have a strong background in memory technologies and a passion for innovation in high-speed memory interfaces.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in DRAM or memory system architecture, with at least 5+ years focused on HBM.
- Expertise in HBM architecture, including TSV design and thermal/power management.
- Proven participation in JEDEC or equivalent standards organizations.
- Strong understanding of I/O and PHY design fundamentals.
- Exceptional technical leadership and cross-functional communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Architect next-generation DRAM solutions and NVIDIA-specific implementations.
- Lead innovation in high-speed memory interfaces with expertise in HBM PHYs.
- Collaborate on advanced packaging technologies to optimize DRAM-GPU co-packaging.
- Evaluate emerging DRAM process nodes and their impact on performance metrics.
- Influence industry direction by working with DRAM vendors and contributing to JEDEC committees.
- Model and quantify system-level trade-offs to guide architectural decisions.
- Mentor engineers and lead technical reviews to shape NVIDIA's memory architecture vision.
